The Leading Causes of Arthritis

There’s no hard and fast rule about the causes of arthritis.

Unfortunately, there are many causes, which could mean several factors contributing to the problem. Not only that, there are several different types of arthritis, such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, and causes for them may vary slightly.

There may be many external factors, which may increase the risk, especially if you already have a predisposition to the condition.

Several examples include:

  • Lifestyle Choices
  • Personal Injury
  • Infections
  • Heavy Labor Jobs

Lifestyle is a leading cause of many, if not most diseases. These choices include sleep, exercise, diet, and mental attitude.

If an injury to a joint was sustained, it is possible to develop further problems with it in the future.

Infections can also bring on arthritic problems in joints as well as physical occupations such as heavy lifting jobs or jobs that require work outside.

For some people there isn’t really an answer, they just develop arthritis.

Also, consider genetic factors, it is possible that it could be passed on if other members of your family have been diagnosed. If any of your family have it, chances are you may also develop it depending on the above factors but it isn’t a hard and fast rule.

While there are many causes of arthritis, making smart and healthy choices in one’s life can help prevent the onset of the disease as well as elevate an existing condition.
